Old Logitech desktop Microphone?
I have an old logitech desktop microphone, given to me second hand. The person I got it from said I should just be able to plug it in and it should work, but its not. There isn’t an on Off Switch, so that’s clearly not my problem. I’ve adjusted the volume of the mic up and down, in multiple programs to see if that helps, which it didn’t.
I’m wondering if there’s maybe some software that they forgot to tell me about, or if it’s just not compatible with vista? I’m not entirely sure how old it is, but I’m guessing quite old.
Anyone know anything that might help?
First..look in Accessories(Start Menu)..for the Recorder..and Click-record-as you speak into the MIC/..there should be a Sound-Level Meter–running as you speak..//Save the File–and attempt to play-it-back in WMP..

If the Sound Level-meter was operating..and the file does not playback..
You may have a Virus(bug attack)..Microsoft Office is under attack as we speak..

Also..
Your Sound Card needs to have the correct/Set-Up..
Pink=Microphone
Green=Audio Output
Blue=Audio Line-IN

Once you have the MIC..plugged into the Pink-connection..
Run the Recorder..look for the Sound Level Meter(running)as you speak..
Save the File for Playback–on the WMP..
No Playback..I would suspect a problem//larger than just re-installing the Driver for the Sound Card..
Also..you might want to check a Upload onto a website that contains audio..if you have a Audio and Video File that you can Upload–do that and see if that lost its sound/
